Gay Abandon needs more basses!

At our first rehearsal this year, there were four basses, and there were 14 altos!

Gay Abandon requires more men with deep voices!!

You might think that you can’t sing bass, but most of our basses are baritones…  All this means is that you sing in the bass clef around the Middle C, rather than in the treble clef (like the tenors).

A Fantabulous Concert!

Led by Jane Edwardson (Musical Director), Gay Abandon will present a fabulous night of songs inspired by Lesbian, Gay and Bisexual (LGB), idols and icons.

By popular demand they will also be reprising their sell out ‘Saturday Night at the Movies’ set which has been performed internationally at the European gay choirs’ festival in Dublin in 2014.

Gay Abandon has welcomed a number of new younger members to the choir in the last year and this has inspired them to celebrate their LGB musical idols and icons. With new arrangements by Jane Edwardson and accompanist Andy Fellows, they will be taking a fresh look at the songs which enabled them to be proud of their sexuality when they were coming out.

So come and join in the celebration of their LGB Idols and Icons and relive your youth!

Tickets £12 (£10 concessions) available through the Leeds College of Music website or call the Box Office on 0113 222 3434.
